Q: How many pictures will you take on our wedding day?
A: ALOT ;-) We staff two photographers for every wedding & between both of us we'll shoot literally thousands of images during a typical full-day wedding. We'll burst shoot multiple exposures of every pose & every candid moment we catch and then we'll choose the strongest images artistically & technically as we edit down to the "best of the best". We typically present clients with 600-750 finished images depending upon the scale of the day.....and clients always tell us that the hardest part is narrowing down to their must-have faves for their album design.
Q: How long have you been doing this?
A: We have been shooting professionally for over 20 years, working for just about every major entertainment, fashion, news network & agency. In the past decade since we opened our Clovis location, our studio has shot over 300 weddings & countless portrait sessions.
Q: How soon should we book you for our wedding?
A: We accept wedding bookings up to 18 months in advance & popular dates (such as Saturdays in Spring & Fall) do go fast, so first we'll check your date to confirm our availability, then we'll invite you to the studio to chat in greater detail, share more of our work & learn more about your plans & what's important to you. If you're out of the Fresno / Clovis area or having a destination wedding, no worries, we are happy to do a virtual consult or phone meeting as you like. We do require a signed agreement and $1,000 retainer which goes towards your total package in order to reserve coverage for your wedding date.
Q: We're having a destination wedding....do you travel?
A: Absolutely... we shoot all over the great State of California, and LOVE to shoot destination weddings in Pismo Beach & the Central Coast, as well as the San Francisco Bay Area, Wine Country & have even been known to cross the Grapevine to shoot weddings in Los Angeles & San Diego. We're happy to travel wherever you'd like to get hitched for a nominal travel fee & a souvenir refrigerator magnet ;-)
Q: How much will it all cost?
A: The answer really depends upon you two & what deliverables are important to you.....our Wedding Collections start at $1,990 and range up from there depending upon the products & studio services you select. Our most popular Collection includes an engagement session with custom designed SaveTheDates & photo guestbook, all-day wedding coverage, your edited negatives plus a stunning hand-crafted Masterpiece Album for $3,990. We are also always happy to customize a Collection for you to create a package of services that are tailored to suite your exact needs. Contact the studio for our complete Wedding Collections.
Q: How soon until our images are available?
A: Our goal is to complete post-production editing & present your wedding images right around your 1 month anniversary. We will typically spend 30+hours in post-production editing of your fabulous wedding day images, lovingly paring down then finessing those great images to pure awesome-ness.
Q: How will we see our images?
A: We LOVE to present your images here in our studio's projection theater on the 8-foot screen set to music & let you invite along your family & friends to share in this awesome experience. After your screening, we'll present you with a custom USB gift box including all of your images & they will also go "live" in a password-protected web gallery for you to share online with friends & family, as like. Then you get to do the hard part....narrowing down to your "must-have" favorites to include in your wedding album ;-) The studio will also permanently archive your wedding images, should your ever need to replace your copy.
Q: Will we get our digital images & can we print them ourselves?
A: Yes, and yes. All of our Wedding Collections include your fully edited digital negatives, and the studio will also permanently archive them for you. We include your images at full-resolution on USB with a personal reprint license so you are free to blow up your social media accounts & make prints to your heart's content.
Q: Do you also take traditional family photos at the wedding?
A: Absolutely, these are some of the most important photos of the day, and while we don't typically feature them regularly in our portfolios, we most certainly work with you to set aside time in the day to create these images.
Q: How long should we have you shoot on our wedding day?
A: We want to capture all of the most amazing moments of your day...we typically will start two-hours or so before the ceremony begins to catch the tail-end of hair/makeup & work with the bride before she steps into her dress, and stay through all of the highlights of the reception. Depending on the size of the wedding party, length of the ceremony & what you're planning on for reception festivities, we'll usually average 8-10 hours of total coverage for a "typical" traditional wedding day.
Q: Does the studio offer a bridal registry?
A: Yes, we do indeed, and this can be a great way to offset the cost of professional photography. Every couple can have their own registry with the studio once you're a client of John Reynolds Photography. Having a studio registry allows family & friends to purchase gift certificates which can be applied towards your balance, or for specific registry items such as your wedding album, for wall portraits, canvas prints, & other studio products & services.
Q: Does the studio also offer individual & family portraits, newborn shoots, & commercial photography, etc?

Q: We might want some prints for our walls, do you do that?
A: Absolutely, we are firm believers in helping our clients to showcase their fabulous engagement & wedding day images in their homes, and we offer a variety of products to suit your tastes in wall decor. Everything we produce for you, from wallets to wall portraits is 100% guaranteed to be adored...if not, we'll always make it right.
Q: Where should we shoot our engagement pictures?
A: We shoot engagement photos all over creation in lots of fun locations.....often clients choose a favorite place that's special for them. Many choose to go to Pismo or the Central Coast area which is fabulous year-round. I love engagement pictures in Autumn in any leafy park setting or in Springtime engagement photos in the blossoms & wildflowers up in the foothills are fantastic. We know lots of "secret" cool spots to shoot & we're always happy to travel to the destination of your choice. For destination engagement sessions outside of the Fresno area, we simply add a nominal travel fee. We recommend showcasing your engagement images in one of our custom SaveTheDate cards or magnets, and offer a custom designed hardcover guestbook featuring your favorite engagement images with space for guests to write their good wishes.
